There’s just one week to go till Zest Fest skips into Beechmont for its 4th year! The Zest team just wanted to extend a warm welcome to you, your friends, neighbours, families and networks to take a sunny country drive up to Graceleigh Park at Beechmont (1922 Beechmont Road) on Sunday June 23 between 9.30am and 4pm. (Even if it’s not sunny, Zest will go ahead rain, hail or shine thanks to our big community hall onsite).
We have our largest array of market stalls so far, stocked with local food, arts and crafts, jewellery, books, sustainability goods and services, health and wellbeing services and so much more.
There will be lots of delicious food too – including snacks, lunch and baked goodies; and the licensed bar will open at midday in time for lunch and our afternoon live music program.
Between 12midday and 4pm our music program will rock with the Will Miller Three, Lily White, Paul Robert Burton and Afro Pulse and at 11am all are welcome to our first ever community drumming workshop with Drum Pulse and Paul Bijkerk.
The day will be filled with free children’s activities and a kid’s hub too.
And we have some great community conversations in the morning about cheese making and community gardening.
I’ve attached our flier and program here for you and would greatly appreciate it if you could help spread the word – feel free to forward this info to anyone you feel would enjoy Zest! For more info just visit our website: http://beechmont.org.au/events/zest-fest
All this excitement and creativity is only $5 per adult (cash only) and kids are free!
Hope you can make it and help celebrate our community’s creativity and connections. Zest kicks off the week-long celebration Eat Local Week in the Scenic Rim too. Do come along and be part of the fun.
