Birdsville

We had a very hot and windy day yesterday 36c with a wind that left dust on everything but what a sunset. Didnt venture far from town, went to the working museum , the boys saved a cormorant that was caught in fishing line on the Diamantina River bank .Drove a bit out of town to visit the Waddi Trees a very unusual desert tree that has very hard wood and lives for up to 1000 years . We ended the day on the closest dune to watch sunset with a cold beer . This afternoon we are going out to Big Red for an explore and stay for the sunset.

this photo is a dune at welford national park will post more photos soon
